CBAM Goods
CBAM goods are products subject to the European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). This mechanism is designed to prevent carbon leakage and support the EU’s climate goals by imposing a carbon price on certain imports from non-EU countries. The aim is to ensure that imported products bear similar carbon costs to those produced within the EU under the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS).

The CBAM initially focuses on specific sectors that are both emission-intensive and exposed to international trade. The goods affected are identified using the Combined Nomenclature (CN) codes. The initial sectors and corresponding products include:
